We first met in 1998 in Battens Restaurant, Guernsey. I was working as waitress and Dean as a chef patissier. On its closure Dean and I went our separate ways professionally. Dean opened Petit Dix Neuf a patisserie/traitor/sandwich bar. It was a huge success straight away whilst I moved on to Simply Ireland, a very busy Irish bistro style restaurant. Following this I worked at Le Nautique as a restaurant manageress for the next three years.

In 2002 we decided to work together and open our first restaurant, L'Escalier. Whilst not being in the desired location we succeeded in becoming one of the finest restaurants on the island well known for an eclectic menu, first rate service and the place to go for a special occasion and it also gave Dean the incentive to experiment with his style of cuisine. During this time we were spotted by Hot House Productions and were approached to make our own TV series called Blagger's Banquet. We continued increasing the standards of the menu and service thoroughout the next 8 years and recently relaunched the restaurant as L'Escalier Bar & Maison Grill.

In 2008 we opened our second venture, Cafe D`Escalier based in Le Gouffre. The cafe was an instant success serving large numbers of people with homemade cuisine even down to the mayonnaise and sausages. We also began cooking cuisine on an open flame and successfully started hosting Festivals at the cafe.

Due to demand we then decided to increase our repertoire by providing select outside corporate catering which has now increased astronomically in popularity and our recent successes include catering for the artists at Jersey live last year, Last night of the proms and the air show at Castle Cornet.

Our outside catering company is definitely not a run of the mill company. Every occasion is catered for and each menu is created to be unique in both style and taste. No detail is overlooked and there is never any compromise on quality. In essence Dean brings L`Escalier restaurant into any venue whether it is a Castle or the client's kitchen.
